To ensure establishment control, introduce and maintain of personnel systems and procedures, formulate, interpret and implement policy on all aspects of condition of service and liaise with the union on public service issues.

The primary role of the Central Personnel Division is to improve the quality of Personnel Management in the Ministries/Departments and Regions throughout the Public Service.

With emphasis on continually improving personnel management throughout the public sector, this department executes the following functions: examining salary anomalies, creating and updating job descriptions, processing requests for Duty Free Concessions inter alia.
